About Us

We are an agribusiness company located in Eastern Oregon. We are unique in the onion industry in that we grow, store, process and ship all of our own onions. This allows us to honestly make such statements as “100% traceability back to the day the seed was planted”.

Our storage facility and processing plant is located adjacent to our 9,000 acres of agricultural land and also next to Interstate 84 at mile post 371, three miles west of Ontario Oregon.

We began construction of our facility in 2000 and today have one of the newest and safest food processing operations located anywhere in the United States. With over 2.7 million cubic feet of refrigerated storage, we keep our onions at a predetermined temperature and in a controlled atmosphere environment. Select Onion Companies processing facility is adjacent to our storage operation; this allows us to process our onions without exposing them to any outside environmental conditions that may affect quality or safety. Food Safety in today’s world is a very serious matter. At Select Onion Company we start with an in house Micro Laboratory, backed up by an outside Micro Laboratory for verification. We also have third party audits from AIB, FPA-Safe, and others.
